The “Simply Segway” experience is a one-hour program that gives guests a product overview, training and indoor riding time at Epcot’s Innoventions area.The “Simply Segway” ride experience is offered daily (except Tuesdays) at 12:30 and 1:45 p.m.
For both programs, class size is limited to 10 guests. Epcot admission is required and riders must be at least 16 years old to participate. Guests can call 407/WDW-TOUR for more information or reservations.
Innoventions, Epcot’s technology playground, has featured the first public display of the Segway PT since 2002. The display includes interactive stations and daily demonstrations by cast members on how the product works.
The Segway PT is the world’s first self-balancing Personal Transporter that uses advanced technology, gyroscopes and tilt sensors to emulate human balance. When a person leans slightly forward, the Segway PT moves forward. When leaning back, the Segway PT moves back. Riders can travel up to 12.5 mph for a distance of up to 24 miles on a single charge.
